In this year&#8217;s conference, e-portfolios, learning styles, network communities, building strategies for online courses and learning diaries were dealt with, among other things.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-89 alignleft lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"site\" width=\"150\" height=\"113\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.yksityinenkielitoimisto.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/site.gif\">The most fascinating offerings were the talks connected with teaching styles, interaction and use of time. In relation to learning styles, the speakers favoured the &#8220;split portfolio&#8221; theory, i.e. they preferred the provision of many resources for various types of learners.<\/p>\n<p>From the Finnish point of reference, the observation of learning styles researcher Cynthia Loeffler (Sam Houston State University) was intriguing: students who for one reason or other are uncomfortable in a physical setting gain special benefit from online learning. David Pownell (Washburn University) presented attractive examples of blogs and wikis that could be tried in instruction. Backup for the experiences of eTeachers was actually offered by a pilot study, according to which online instruction really does take more time than contact teaching; the reason is the emphasis on bilateralness and the written message.
