But shouldn\u2019t we make\u00a0a\u00a0distinction\u00a0between various forums for\u00a0discussion\u00a0online?<\/p>\n<p>The channel influences the quality of interaction.\u00a0<em>Susan C. Herring<\/em>\u00a0has categorized technical features and social situations that affect\u00a0such discussion. Among other features, Herring mentions message length, anonymity, filtering, and media options.
